We are a Georgia-based junk car buying operation serving metro Atlanta and communities statewide since 2015. Our mission is straightforward: give Georgia vehicle owners an honest, hassle-free way to turn an unwanted car into cash.
Our Story
RidOfMyCar.com was founded in Gwinnett County, Georgia in 2015. The business started from a straightforward observation: too many Georgia vehicle owners were being lowballed, misled with bait-and-switch offers, or forced to arrange and pay for their own towing when selling an unwanted vehicle.
We built the operation around three non-negotiable commitments: honest quotes that don't change at pickup, free towing included in every sale, and cash paid the moment the vehicle is loaded — not after processing, not by mail.
Over nine years we have purchased thousands of vehicles across Georgia — from running cars that their owners simply no longer wanted, to flood-damaged vehicles that could not pass insurance claims, to high-mileage trucks with blown engines that were too expensive to repair. We have served customers in every county in the Atlanta metro and reached buyers across the state from Savannah to Rome.
Our base is Snellville in Gwinnett County, chosen deliberately because of its central position relative to the metro Atlanta counties where most of our pickups occur: Gwinnett, DeKalb, Cobb, Fulton, Rockdale, Newton, Clayton, and Henry.
How We Operate
Honest offers, no bait-and-switch
The number we quote is the number you receive. We do not reduce the offer when the tow truck arrives. If we cannot honor a quote, we say so before scheduling — not at your driveway.
Free towing statewide
Towing is included in every purchase. We do not deduct towing fees from your payment or add pickup charges after the fact. No hidden fees of any kind.
Payment at pickup, not after
You are paid — cash or check — when the vehicle is loaded. We do not promise payment by mail or after processing. The driver brings your payment.
We buy what others won't
Non-running vehicles, flood-damaged vehicles, salvage-titled vehicles, vehicles with missing catalytic converters — we buy them all. Every condition description we post on this site is a condition we genuinely accept.
